Seasons

In the Free State, the best time of year to come on your hunt is between May and September. Approximate winter temperatures range between 40 F in early morning to 65 F in the afternoon.
 

We advise you to pack the following clothing and supplies:

1. Lightweight camouflage or khaki clothing.
2. Hats or cap
3. Light comfortable rubber soled ankle high walking boots
4. Warm jacket and a pair of gloves
5. Cartridge belt
6. Wide belt
7. Camera & spare batteries
8. Small rucksack
9. Personal medicine kit
10. Sleeveless hunting jacket
11. Wool socks
12. Hunting knife
13. Long sleeve shirts
14. Pocketknife
15. Flashlight
16. Binoculars
17. Water bottle
18. Power adaptor

Firearms
Clients are advised to bring their own firearms, alternatively these can be provided at a nominal fee. 

We suggest the following for: 
Small Game:   a minimum of 6mm and upwards with 130 grain bullets
Medium to Large Game:  a minimum of .300 calibre with 170 grain bullets
Dangerous game:  a minimum of .375 calibre with 230 grain bullets

Please bring a good supply of ammunition with you, as it is very expensive in South Africa.

3.  Proof of Ownership
4.  Letter of Invitation from Amanzi Safari's:  Download Letter of Invitation.doc (voeg dokument in)
5.  Motivation Letter from client
6.  Amanzi Safari's can apply for a pre-approved Firearm permit
